Marsala and Curry

In the days of the Raj the pukka chaps used to drink Madeira with their curry. After eating they drank claret followed and this with whisky. The amount people drink today has fallen greatly, tastes have changed in some ways but not entirely. Several years ago I tried Madeira with my dinner at London's Chutney Mary's restaurant in the Kings Road. It worked very well indeed.
