Ah, not the place it used to be, redecorated and quite
quiet. The new owners have an Italian connection, which shows in the new menu
at C Garden does not have the feel of an Italian restaurant it seems to lack in
atmosphere. Yet, one is provided with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip
your bread into. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up with really very good
food.
Visiting C Garden on a Friday lunchtime my choice was
to eat fish. As did Melanie, my luncheon companion. We started with scallops,
which were served on cream with a light olive oil. They were cooked to
perfection and quite delicious.
For my main course, my choice had been the sea bass
served on gnocchi.
Beautifully cooked and prettily served, which brings
me to the
service, charming, helpful and attentive at all times.
